Children’s Ministry
At First Presbyterian Church we believe that worship is the response of the whole people of God-and that includes children!
Sunday School
We currently use the DIG IN curriculum for children in preschool-5th grade. The guiding principles behind all DIG IN lessons are designed to help kids develop a genuine, growing relationship with God by getting to know his heart.
Wednesday Nights
“Ready, Set, Worship!”
On Wednesday evenings, we focus our studies on worship participation and Biblical knowledge. We prepare children to fully participate in the worship service through instruction and nurture. We use learning centers and games to teach the different aspects of our worship service. We also focus on helping children learn to use their Bible.
Child Care
Located on the first floor of the Education building, our nursery is designed for newborn children through age two. Because little ones do better with consistency, our paid caretakers work in the nursery every Sunday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. This includes the 10:30 worship service and the Sunday school hour. Nursery care is also provided for special church services and events. If you are unsure if a nursery is provided for a particular activity, please call the church office at 388-1985.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer FPC hosts a week-long VBS to serve our children and those in our community. VBS takes a host of volunteers and there are opportunities big and small.
