About Our Church
First Presbyterian Church was founded in 1811 and has been a pillar in the greater Columbia area ever since. An educational building was added in the late 1950s, and in 2000, we expanded and underwent major renovations to serve our ever-growing Sunday service. First Presbyterian Church is a diverse community of believers brought together by the transforming grace of Jesus Christ.
Church Membership
We receive members by baptism and affirmation of faith, by transfer of your church letter from another church, or by reaffirmation of faith. We welcome a chance to talk to you about church membership.
Presby 101 Classes
Our church offers quarterly classes to learn more about the Presbyterian faith. This class is open to members and inquiring members alike. To learn more information about these classes reach out to Pastor Sarah at sarah@1stprescolumbia.org.
